While in Guadalajara, we found the Hotel Morales very nice with a great location. Our room was beautifully furnished and very clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful at the front desk. The hotel was totally renovated two years ago and the lobby is fabulous with beautiful original arches. We would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Hotel Morales is very well located within easy walking distance of great churches, other points of interest, and shopping. I never felt worried walking the streets around the hotel, even at night. The food was good and the service excellent. A great experience.

3. From: Randy J., THORNTON CO USA
 Date of Stay: March, 2007
I was absolutely stunned about the quality of lodging for the price. The hotel is in the historic district four blocks from the cathedral and is superior in every way.

Stayed for a week at this beautiful, super clean and well staffed hotel. Great location, enough English spoken, good food, good bar, great help- can't ask for more (and the price is right!).

5. From: Mari H., Fresno CA USA
 Date of Stay: January, 2007
The Hotel Morales was a perfect location for sightseeing in the historical district. The staff was excellent in providing service for out-of-town trips as well as reservations to restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and there was music every night. I would definitely return.

The Hotel itself is beautiful, Relaxing and clean. The service is bad, The second day we got there we ask for an iron, 9 days later we never got it. No one had the correct answers for info on inner/city and outside tours. No help to make long distance calls. We asked 4 times to speak to a manager and that never happen. Every time we would walk in or out of the hotel we never got greated by the bus boys or anyone from the hotel. don't think I would stay at this location again.

The pianist played at odd hours so it was hard to sleep through the noise. The beds are extremely hard. Our backs were sore every monring and often woke up in the middle of our sleep because of how uncomfortable they were to sleep in.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. We stayed for a total of 3 nights and enjoyed it. The hotel has nice furniture and air conditining. Its location was great. We visited museums, stores and temples, just a few blocks away. The restaurant was a little to expensive for certain items, such as $3 for a cup of coffee (not even hot or delicious). The front desk at times could have been a bit more welcoming and warming.

If you're looking for a cookie-cutter hotel with all the amenities that just happens to be in Guadalajara, then don't go to the Hotel Morales. But if you like a place that's central to all of Guadalajara's historical landmarks, and has an old-world glamour feel to it--the place is famed for being popular with visiting bull fighters and actors--then this is the place for you.

I'm definitely returning to this hotel. From our initial curbside greeting, I knew this was money well spent. The bellhop was very attentive, and gave us a complete in-room review of all its features. Service at all levels was great, the hotel cuisine was great, and the location was excellent. Hard wood floors were a welcome touch, and the hotel was beautiful. The hotel was recently remodeled, and there WAS a/c in the room. This hotel could be a 5 star if it had a SPA!!!
